Brenda, I'd recommend some type of laminate top, they are reasonably priced and generally readily available, B&Q have a good range on display in their Liffey Valley store. I can call out if you like. Regards, Patrick L

@Patrick L. I am trying to organise new counter tops for my elderly parents. Can take photos tomorrow and send to u if that helps. We have not purchased the tops yet as would need advice.

Brenda I have more than 20 years of kitchen installation experience, my bid is labour only and all material;s will be extra. I am available Thursday or Friday of this week or early next. I am assuming the new counter tops will have to be cut for a sink and cooklng hob. Regards Regards
