Due to a recurring back injury I'm looking for a reliable, sound person to help me out at Electric Picnic from August 27th (Thursday) to August 31st (Monday). It'll probably be about 1.5 hours - 2 hours work, tops. The main job is to help haul two festival trolleys from the car to the glamping area on arrival (so you'd have to do two runs, but the second one will be much lighter because the drink run will already be done), and set up the airbed/bedding in the tent. During the festival, I’d also need a bag of ice picked up from the on-site shop each afternoon, assuming they have it in stock. Then leaving on Monday (about 11:30 or so) it would be the reverse, so packing up the airbed/bedding and hauling both trolleys back to the car. Compensation: Electric Picnic Weekend Ticket (worth €325) + €150 cash. Someone who might be interested in doing the same arrangement for festivals next year (Beyond The Pale, All Together Now, and Electric Picnic 2027) would be ideal, but if it's a once-off gig for you that's no problem at all. (I tried this here last year for Beyond The Pale but there was confusion as to whether it was a real offer or not; it's an unusual job, but it's 100% real!)
@Gary D right so ( he's in France with work this week hence the delay) Just to confirm so Gary he said yes he or they will be leaving Cork at 9 am instead of 11 last year, they said was too late . He'll look after you on arrival @12 or before while others pitch their area. We can take it from there no panic ,he's laid back anyways and more than capable
I am really interested in this! I am 22 from Kildare and would be interested in doing future festivals in 2027 like you mentioned. I have been to EP the last 4 years and know my way around etc. I can meet you anytime on the Thursday and have no problems at all with the other jobs that need doing.
@Gary D. No problem at all.
@Sarah D. Yeah the early entry tickets were snapped up very quickly! I appreciate you checking into it, and for your interest in the job. I'll explore some other avenues but will let you know if we can work something out.
@Paul D. Hi Paul, that setup sounds like it could work alright! What time would your brother be planning to head down at? The only potential issue is that we'd need to be there about midday.
I have a solution for you to consider Gary , I have a younger brother Simon ,25 who has the early pass ticket (there's 4 travelling , he's offering to cover you on the Thursday and for me to take over on the Friday, will make no difference financially to you.
@Gary D. I would need an early access ticket to cover me on the thursday and ive been on ticketmaster and there is none available(sold out) or none up for resale as of yet.
@Sarah D. Hi Sarah, thanks for your interest. I'm not sure what the story is with tickets for the pre-booked campsites (Eco, Poets, An Ghaeltacht and Glitterball) but the general campsites don't need to be pre-booked and are on a first come, first served basis. We're planning on heading down for about midday on the Thursday so whoever is helping us out would need to be there at that time as well, and would be early into the general campsites to get a good camping spot.
@Amirsad Z. Hi Amirsad, the pay is 1 x Electric Picnic weekend festival ticket which costs €325 (as whoever is doing the job will need to be at the festival, and tickets are sold out so it's a great way for someone who wants to go doesn't have a ticket to get one) + €150 cash. So in total the job is worth €475.
@Gary D. Hi Gary, id be interested in helping you out. The only thing is it may be too late for me to get a camping pitch, so my worry would be no accomodation to stay in for the whole weekend which would not be suitable.
So is the pay 475 or 150 cash?
