I like to haggle...make it e115 and you've got a deal. To be honest I didnt know I have to 'pay a small deposit' it was cunningly hidden. I suppose youve gotta pay TaskMatch too?? Apologies I was too hasty in critising you as I was only seeing partial information about your jobs. I didn't know others here were offering to do one way trips instead of multiple journeys. But there's men on here who have large vans that can easily take full load of lots of stuff. You should click on each man who replies/offers and see their profile and they have photos of their vans so you can see who is more suitable for your job. Unfortunately there's others who don't have vans and as you are finding out are basically wasting your time. Yes I understand that local tradesmen are charging you high prices, mainly due to their extra operating costs and full time hours. Although many men on this site are based in Dublin are surrounding counties so their prices reflect driving to you. Alternatively you can maybe wait for men closer to you to respond although you have to wade through the other replies as it's the method of this site.

Think you misinterppreted re 'one way trips'. A guy asked me would I need one trip or several trips with the stuff...not I'd be only paying him for one leg of his journey. Local elec replaced 5 soffit lights at front of house...took him 15 mins - charge e250. Local plumber tightened connection wires to outside Bio septic tank system - charge e320, took an hour!!! I'd say 90% of people want work done for low prices...your hardly gona accuse someone of undercharging are you!
Well other men replied to you who have vans although you ignored them as I'm guessing you weren't interested in their prices. Then you want to only pay them for one way journeys, that's not practical at all. Keep searching. Also the regulations allow non electricians to do what is considered minor jobs such as replacing your lights, lots of men on here are competent in doing it, I've done similar jobs myself. You're too fussy and critical to men here but want work done for low prices. Contact local tradesmen near you and haggle with them instead, see what happens. I'll leave you to it. Thanks

I dont know if you experience situations whereby you think you are helping out by getting domestic tasks completed...only to find your wife has suddenly changed the date of the almost agreed task. I got the date wrong, she exclaimed...DUH!!

Paul it works both ways. I thought (after several exchanges of comments) that I had sorted man and van to take some stuff to Dublin. Turns out it was 'man and Prius'.
Several people had responded to my Electrical few small jobs but they were not qualified...they were handymen!
Well Chris you posted few jobs already and several men replied to them including myself. It's annoying all round when you don't pick anyone, we can't second guess what you want.

@Niall T. Click on the customers name and you will see they have other tasks posted, click on them and it brings to the list of the other tasks. They have posted this same job already a few days ago and you commented on aswell
