Description
Need a fuel filter fixed on my van. It's at recovery garage but not sure they will get to it today and need sorted ASAP. I was told it's small fix. Crack in fuel filter and need to get back on road today to dublin

I'm only saying. Probably better word would be "sloppy/unacceptable" etc.

@Paul M. Garage that took it in last night said they would sort it and replace and be back on the road today Called them this morning and it's like news to them. That's why I'm a bit stuck now
Then at least you can drive to another garage and see if they can fix it for you and say you are are emergency etc.
Replace it would be the best way but I'm not sure if the diesel will pour out once it's removed. Alternatively you can go to motor factors and see if they have any "patch" repair tape. If you can see the crack on the filter, try putting the tape on the crack etc. that might get you out and back on the road and then drive slower. Unfortunately there's not many men in Cork on this site that can help you today.
