Hi there, I would like to hire a qualified RECI registered electrician for 3 small domestic tasks: 1. change a fuse in the fuse box (pic enclosed). Fuse goes to a single socket which powers the washer/dryer 2. fix a loose connection in one socket of a double wall socket 3. re-attach a loose single wall socket to the wall (no issue with connection on this one) Tasks 2&3 are not connected to Task 1! Only qualified electricians please. Materials on top of fee.
Hi Lisa, my offer is for diagnosis and repairs, any materials will be extra but hopefully won't be required. And yes absolutely, i have my National Craft Card in the wallet, your more than welcome to inspect it. Best Regards Damien
@Damien . That’s good to hear!
@Damien . Timing would suit fine!
@Damien . Hi Damian, thanks for coming back and making an offer. Can I confirm is this offer to include the new MCB and any other materials? Also do you have something that can prove your qualifications please?
Right ok, I get you. There's no easy way to diagnose without seeing tbh, could be any number of issues, nothing too major by the sounds of it.
@Damien . The washer/dryer a single machine. The socket for it is a single socket.
@Damien . It trips when I turn the washing machine on. Nothing else. It’s the only thing on that socket. It wasn’t doing this originally it started after I powered down all the sockets to do some painting
And have you noticed if it trips when you turn on one or the other? Or something else getting plugged in?
@Damien . Hi again Damian, I don’t know think so. The only socket on that MCB is the socket for the washer/dryer that keeps tripping….
@Damien . Hi Damian, thanks for coming back to me. it’s to a washer/dryer.
Would it have anything to do with the loose connection on that socket?
Hi Lisa, whats the tripped out MCB supposed to be powering?
@Paul M. Hi Paul, thanks for coming back to me. Are you a qualified electrician please? Lisa
Can you upload photos of the immersion tank?
Lisa is that switch for the immersion heater? Usually it's not the switch that's failed, it's the immersion heater in the tank that's failed and is causing the switch to constantly trip off.
