Removing fireplace and plastering up after

Hello there.I need this gas fireplace taken out including the surrounding and marble base and a plastering all ready for painting.The fireplace also needs to be taken away.I know to disconnect and cap up the gas it needs to be done by a qualified so I can sort that out with my plumber .

Leave that with me and thanks for your advice.I can promise that I will definitely go for your service but maybe a bit later than January(in-laws will be staying for a few weeks,holidays abroad etc).Once I see that when it would fully suit me to get the work done,hopefully by mid January,I will leave a message here for you and accept the order.i well have to time everything as if you finished here I want to replace the laminate and paint the wall.Many thanks for taking your time talk soon

@James L. I’m not hundred percent sure on that .Either capping it or a chimney ballon?Whatever is better to avoid condensation/dampness around the plastered up finish in the future .

Hi,I’m not in any hurry ,hopefully in the next 2-3 months as it means I need to do the painting and flooring after which I’m able to myself.I got a quote about a year ago when the house was bought but only started to fix things up so I thought it worth to ask around for a few more.Yes I did talk to my plumber about it he can disconnect and cap it up.
Hi, when are you hoping to have this done? Have you organised a gas safe plumber to remove the fire and cap the gas?
