@Zak N. They don’t - I laid the tiles. They only go to the plastic supports just behind the kickers. The whole kitchen is coming out anyway. A new U-shaped one is going in in this place. The bulk of the work is to the right of that photos where there is a large dining area. Key for me is getting it level afterwards.
