Hi everyone - could be asking the impossible there might be no fixing this. When moving the wardrobe disaster happened and the door snapped off on the wall, fell and snapped. Absolutely gutted as I love the wardrobe but it’s very old. It might not be fixable, but I’m hoping it is. Completely unsure how much a repair would cost. I have attached photos of the damage and the door that is okay.

Of course! Take your time
@Darren L. Thanks Darren, that’s super, could you give me a day or two to think about it?
@Darren L. Ah i understand! No unfortunately I don’t know
Sorry haha, so you’re passionate about this piece and would love it to be fixed? I can do it for you, I admire this style and period work. Just a moment, I will work out a quote for you. I will have to come to limerick and look and take a part of it
That’s why I asked what s species it was, as the more exotic wood would be increased in price
@Darren L. Ah okay. I just said that much because honestly no clue what it’ll cost to get fixed
No no, for repair and restoration
@Darren L. Thanks a million - is the offer for a repair / replacement? Was hoping for it to be repaired to keep the original as much as possible ????
€1234 would be for more refined and detailed work and materials.
Hello Berenice, Well I can say it’s not going well o cost no where near €1245. 20+ years you can get away with common hardwood pine. Mmm ok I know I’m in Dublin but I would like to give this a good look at. I would take probably 4-5 week lead time, it’s a piece to blend in and get right due to the extent of damage. I will give you an offer and see how we get on
@Darren L. Hi Darren! I’m so sorry I haven’t a clue. It is definitely 20+ years old though, it was there when we got the house. I’m so sad it broke!
Hello Berenice, May I ask, is that antique? What species of wood is that? No worries if not known, it looks a beautiful piece
