Patch hole in dry-wall and install curtain rods

I need to patch/fix a hole in the dry-wall that fell out due to bad quality curtain rod installation and to re-install new/better curtain rods. The job is to be done in 2 rooms in the apartment: one with a long curtain rod and other with a shorter curtain rod. I'm looking for recommendations and a quote for suitable curtain rods, the ones previously installed clearly don't sustain the weight of the curtain.
