Recently cut the gas to the downstairs fireplace, and need to block up the chimney as it escapes heat from the house. The chimney connects to two fireplaces in the house above each other (one gas and one coal) so will need to block both down with MDF and add a trickle vent for ventilation This is to get better BRR rating
