Description
We have an integrated fridge in our kitchen. We would like to take this out & replace with a free standing fridge. However the walls behind will need to be skimmed for paint & we would like a small few tiles laid on the floor to go under the fridge . Also at the end of the counter ( next to the fridge) will need to be finished neatly. We were thinking just reuse the existing board at the side of the fridge.

@Sean H. Hi Sean, no we have solid wall that was wallpapered .....this was stripped before we installed the Kitchen, 8 yrs ago. It's slightly uneven.....which is fine but there may be some holes or lumps of plaster missing that will need to be filled. We just want to be able to paint over a relatively smooth finish. If that makes sense?
OK so there is plasterboard behind fridge and it has been plastered, you just want possible damage repaired from pulling fridge out and screw holes filled if needed?
@Sean H. Hi Sean - yes we just need it to be tidied up so we can paint it. Not a major plastering job.

Hi Lorraine, Is it not just patching that needs to be done behind fridge?
@Matthew T. For the tiling I'm guessing 1m squared. The skim would be 16-20m squared. This is all guess work. I will measure this evening.
How many mts you know roughly of tiles and skim need to be done so I can price the job and have enough materials with me or could just put labour cost only and we can sort out the the materials that's needed on the day if that suits
