Description
Master bathroom shower mixer/thermostatic valve is malfunctioning. Symptoms: * Water temperature is unstable * Warm position gives cold water * Slight movement toward hot causes very hot/scalding water * Moving back toward cold sometimes still gives hot water Likely cause: * Faulty thermostatic cartridge or shower mixer valve The shower valve appears to be an older model/pattern, so experience with older shower systems may be needed.
