Comments & Offers
@Rogan V. Done Rogan. Look forward to speaking with you, once number are shared. Brian
Hi Brian, thanks for all the information and making me aware of that. I don’t think we would have any issues at all. Once you have accepted the offer I can get in contact directly with you. Then we can plan a head and discuss all the minor details
@Rogan V. Okay, 2 more points to raise and I should be available to get back to you then today / tomorrow. 1) will you have much machinery? The entrance in our side gates is not the widest. Example, it’s big enough for a wheelie bin to fit out but not much wider than that. I can measure later if you need. 2) Eventually we will be getting paving done on the other side of our house. The paving will meet with the grass at a certain point. When installing the grass, you would need to factor this in that eventually paving will go in and the meeting point will need to be level, as best as possible. (could be another job for you later if you were interested). Thanks Brian
It includes the materials for the base, weed membrane, everything for joining and securing the grass. But doesn’t include the shock pads. To be very honest it it’s only for foot traffic it’s not required if you have a really well put together base. A good sub-base is more than sufficient. Some people will say otherwise however it’s not always the case. Let me know if we can help. Would have availability in the next 10 days or so
@Rogan V. Hi Rogan. Yes, we have the grass but no other materials. So will need weed barrier, shock pads etc. The grass is 35mm so basic shock pads should suffice. I think your price should be fine, if it includes materials. Let me think about it today. When would you be available to do it, if we agreed to proceed?
@Kyle A. Kyle. Not sure why this changed to ‘unassigned’ overnight. Happy for you to put back in the same 25 offer
@Kyle A. Yeah, I have done that. Just need you to re-offer. Cheers . Have a good evening. Speak to you tomorrow
Yeah put it as low as you can brian
@Kyle A. Just changing the budget temporarily to 25, to proceed in accepting the offer. Otherwise, it’s charging me 70euro. Thanks
Sure brian. That's no problem at all. Thanks Kyle ????
@Kyle A. Sure, no problem. I’m happy to exchange numbers at this stage. I’m free after 11am tomorrow, if any time after that suits you for a call?
Brian accept my offer to exchange numbers and we can discuss properly through that.
@Kyle A. Sounds good Kyle. If you’re interested in doing the grass, can you send me two figures? One for your own fee for doing the job (labour / time etc.) and a second figure for a very rough estimate of the materials(best you can).. I’ll also measure the side gates later, so you’re aware of the width, in case you have machinery. Thanks, Brian
If you have a layout for where the paving is going, I'd line them out and if grass needs to be cut back then do so then, infil where the paving is going, keep all nice and level then pave on top, if it's coming to a grass point you could separate it with 4" by 2" rough timber, squaring it up to the pavement, could also fill gaps in with fancy stone to enhance the look of it
@Kyle A. Yeah, that process sounds familiar with what we had done in our previous house…One important question though for you. Eventually we will be getting paving done for the other side of the house. There is a point in the garden where the grass will meet with the paving. Is it a problem that the grass gets done first (Before the paving)? Will it be difficult to level the meeting point up?…..if paving was also something you did, we could get you back to do that also later on
Okay if the grass is 35mm thick. 10mm of shock pads is suitable. Works out €12 depending on merchant per square metre. That's €216 just for the shock pads. Could wacker plate the stones down to level then put weed membrane down on top then the shock pads
@Donagh M. Okay, what type of price would you be seeking?
@Kyle A. Well the grass is 35mm. So, would the minimum shock pad of 10mm be sufficient in your opinion? Would there be anything else required such as weed barrier etc (if not infill)? , I trust you are experienced with artificial grass installation? Sorry, hate to ask but we had somebody turn up before who never did it:). …we are fairly new in the area but we are in Castlebar, so definitely should be places
Wouldn’t be doing it for 1000
Okay I have a few questions brian, how thick you wanting your shock pads? They can range from 10mm to 30mm. Also I worked it out. You'll need atleast 24Ibs of infil for 18 square feet. Do you have a local hardware store near you?
@Donagh M. Hi Donagh. I’ve nothing else at present. Only the grass. So, I will need somebody to establish these materials, and I have included this in the 1,000. However, am willing to negotiate if reasonable. I believe it’s a one day job
Hi Brian do you have the nails and weed barrier?
@Kyle A. I suppose at the soonest that somebody can do it. I do only have the grass, so the other materials will also be required. e.g.infill / shock pads etc. I am factoring in these materials to the overall cost of 1,000 but happy to negotiate further if reasonable.
@Kyle A. Done, thanks
Hi brian. Could you possibly take a photo of the garden and the surface please
