The timer option depends on the type of extractor fan you have, I can do this for you but you need to be positive that your extractor fan has a timer relay built into it. I strongly advise on hiring a plasterer as simply put, it is just not my profession or something I have professional experience in.
@Marek M. Good afternoon, Marek, Both offers seem reasonable, but I think it will probably be the more expensive we will need. May I just ask one last question, please? We realise that the cutting into the wall/ceiling will have consequences in terms what the wall/ceiling looks like. Do you look after that part of the job too, or will we need to arrange someone separately to plaster and paint the wall/ceiling thereafter? Thank you.
@Marek M. Good morning, Marek, I have already added some photos in the task description, but not sure if you can see them.
No worries at all, if you would like to provide photos, that would be of great value, and from that point on we can start talking about pricing and arrangement.
@Marek M. Good evening, Yes, we would feel better if could see some sort of proof of a qualification. We are simply trying to avoid having someone over, who just 'knows stuff', for safety reasons. We are simply looking for a person, who could install an extractor fan in our bathroom. Yes, essentially mounting it in and wiring it. the way we understand it, there is no power supply there at the moment, so the power would need to be supplied. We are aware that this would likely mean that you may need to open up the ceiling in our bathroom. We bought the extractor fan a few weeks ago. Yes, there is an air duct in there already, but I can provide further photos if you need to get a better picture.
Hello, I have european qualification papers if you require to see them, it is fine by me. what exactly do you need to be done if you dont mind me asking? is it just mounting an extractor fan and wiring it? Is there already a power supply or does power need to be supplied? And do you have an extractor fan already, more importantly is an air duct for the extractor fan provided? Once we get these questions out the way, we can talk further. Kind regards
@Marek M. Good afternoon, Can you, please, confirm if you are a qualified electrician? We would like a qualified electrician to do this job for safety reasons. Thank you.
Hi Gediminas, I could call around this weekend if that suits, Thanks, Alan
@Fiachra M. Hi, Fiachra, Thank you for getting in touch and for the quote. I will revert in due course.
@Paul M. Yes, we have a window in the bathroom. There is also a ventilation grill already in place, and both the window and the ventilation grill are part of the external wall of the house. However, I am not sure if my partner wants to use the ventilation grill for the extraction fan, or if she would like a brand new unit in the ceiling. This is something I am trying to establish.
Ok. Is there a window in the room? Is one wall part of the exterior of the house? Usually drill a hole through the exterior wall to fit the fan. Can you explain please? Can you upload any photos of the walls in the bathroom?
@Paul M. No, there is no fan in there currently. I am looking for a completely new installation, not a replacement.
Is there a fan there already? Is it replacement you want or a completely new installation?
