My immersion heater works and heats the water normally, but the clock dial on the Optimum OP-ECOSAVE timer does not advance automatically, so the timed function is not working. I’m looking for an electrician to check whether the fault is with the timer or its electrical connection and complete the repair during the same visit. Please bring a compatible replacement timer if possible, so a second call-out is not required. The €100 budget is for the call-out, diagnosis and labour. If a replacement timer is needed, please confirm the cost with me before fitting it. Please include your maximum total price, including VAT and any replacement timer, in your offer. Location: Oranmore, County Galway.

What sort of hot water tank is there? How many electric heaters are in the tank? Are they at the side of the tank or the top? Can you upload photos of where the heaters are located on the tank?
Does the timer dial turn at all during the day and night? Can you see if it has moved?
